Mafraq Dental Center: The workplace

I don't actually want to include my workplace or anything related to it in my blog because

1. It has nothing to do with fashion
2. It's not a piece of architecture nor a feat in engineering
3. my job isn't considered the "a million girls would kill for this job"(if you know what I mean) job, but the rising number of unemployment rate worldwide just makes me happy to think that, at least , I have  one which a million people would kill for.

Three of my tens of tens(literally, lol) of readers requested this and so as not to lose and disappoint them, I give this, only this time no outfit will be posted.LOL

I started working at this clinic about a year and three months ago-still on its early phases of renovation. I can still recall how cold it was and how dimly lit the corridors were, but Mafraq has welcomed us with warmth. Oh, it seems like it was only yesterday. Funny how time flies: the morning/evening duties, the cafeteria, the old reception and waiting area, the old lockers, the old clinics, the x-ray films were now things of the past.

Anyway, renovations are still ongoing, at least the last part of it. Sorry for the bad photos as they were taken 5 minutes before signing off.

Mafraq Dental Center is a 17-room clinic dedicated to specialities in dentistry. It follows strict regulations and policies  based on international standards and will be evaluated and accredited by the Joint Commission International(JCIA) some time this year.

the admin's offices

The x-ray room. All radiographs are filmless and are brought to clinics through networks of computers thereby making viewing and referrals easy.

the Central Supply and Sterilization Department(CSSD). The center is currently using the old machines. its last phase is solely centered on this section. Mafraq Dental Center follows a very strict level of infection control protocol to avoid cross contamination. All instruments are washed, dried ,packed, dated, sterilized, and stored.

the new CSSD in the making.

The set-up. Everything is wrapped with barriers and thrown away and replaced after each patient.

All metals, sharps, and glass wastes go to this punctured resistant containers. All contaminated materials go to the biohazard labeled yellow bag under for incineration. How I wish this were done in Manila. Now I pity those  who live in the Smoky Mountain or any dumpsite.:)

the center uses the system called CERNER. Patients' files are stored in the system for easy and much organized referral, keeping confidentiality as passwords and electronic signatures are required. Also, writing with a pen and paper becomes stone age.

the prosthodontics/implant room

my old room, periodontics. Gray and windowless, how sad can this room be?LOL.

and proofs trees do not grow here in the UAE.lol

In a short time,a  lot of faces had been gone and some more soon will be gone; but a lot of new faces also have been added up for their replacement. It is normal. It is life. It is -GROWTH.

For barely a year and a half, I have perhaps experienced all time highs and lows that have tested me, my values, and ethics, so much so that it helped me improve. And for barely a year and a half, looking back at the hard times I had back in Manila, the things that I have today, and what tomorrow will bring me, I could not be more content and blessed that at least I have some things a million people would kill for.

:)

  2. The notion of smaller than normal dental implant is a revolutionary system for supporting trade teeth that utilized exceptionally little titanium compound insert screws that might capacity unsupported or in fusion with characteristic tooth underpins.
