The Souk: Central Market Abu Dhabi

Perhaps the only shopping destination in Abu Dhabi worth blogging. What makes this a stand out is its amazing mixed Asian-Arabic-Modern interior that I have never seen anywhere else. It's a pretty small 3-floor souk but the way the  space was treated here, wow.. The labyrinth effect, like what old markets are, was greatly considered on the design. Still half filled but worth going to, now.

i love love love the Japanese inspired wood "thing".

look at how space was done here

there were performers on stage that day.

the way the lifts and escalators blend with its interior- exposed and bare to match the crisscrossing lines of the wood panels surrounding it. My photos don't give justice to how beautifully this was done.

  1. It’s become somewhat of a rarity to find original online article content anymore. I’m very surprised to find this well-written impressive article. You have many logical points here that compelled me to consider your side.
