London Fashion Week Fall 2011-12 part 1

4 cities from New York,Milan, Paris and my least favorite is London for its fashion week. I was glad most graduates and some old British labels came back to their roots to give kick to the city's, I don't know, is it dying fashion? Not, but clothes made by young designers here are just too street or something is lacking which  I have to find out or I think I'am just being biased or are they overshadowed by my liking towards clothes that are more technical than beautiful. And it's sad to think that Paris' big houses and their creatives are actually graduates from London's Saint Martins yet the city can't produce an Alexander McQueen although it has brought us Alexander McQueen.

Burberry
3 things I like in a Burberry show: music, the clothes, and Christopher Bailey. I love  the outfits here but it kind of reminded me of what Nicolas did for Balenciaga years back, the ones with the equestrian theme although Christopher made it his own and looked very Burberry-ish. I love the trench coats here, wait, make it everything.

Jaeger London

So suddenly, I want to steal those collars from the models. This is like the coolest thing I have ever seen. Love the easiness of the clothes, styling looked haphazard but totally worked. Can you see Marni here?or is it just the socks and sandals combo?Oh my, the fur vest.

Peter Pilotto
To be honest I have no idea what Peter Pilotto's work is all about except for those Galaxy print Kipling's. I haven't followed him  but this  release will make me.I hate/like the print combination.it looked like the models just woke up and they wore the first thing they saw, mixed and wahla, resulted in some kind of what?"London nonchalance?"

Erdem

I love the prints here. It looked like those Monet's waterlilies and ponds paintings poured with black paint or messed up.Cool, eh?

Christopher Kane

So far my favorite because this is the first time I have ever seen clothes like these. The clothes are actually very simple looking but the materials used made it interesting. Combining these elements together produced a very fresh but a very strong statement. I like it when designers go back to basic styles and try to put something new to it.A perfect marriage of technique and classics.
