I have always hated pedodontics eversince. In college, looking for patients was a hell and treating them was worse.I was not at all enticed by this branch of dentistry. I have a very adult approach to patients and kids, though wrong, I consider them that. I just do not know how to please them or praise them for their good character or comment how nice that Spiderman print on their t-shirt. It has always been a sit-open-your-mouth-and-don't-cry treatment; no TSD(tell, show,do), no nothing. But I have no idea why children always take the bait of the Cinderella or Ben 10 sticker or ice cream. If that were me only a Balenciaga would shut me up from crying,LOL
So imagine me assigned at where else, the pedodontics section. Their loud cries that reach a kilometer have been a sound I was used to for a year but I haven't really tried how it would be hearing it inside the room itself. Will my eardrum perhaps tear? No, it didn't after all and my stereotyping, surprisingly, was proven false.. I kind of enjoyed working at this place or was it just the cute kids with their eyes as big as a 40-inch flat screen TV with lashes that curve like a smile. Or was it the cute little boys in their kadooras and matching sandals that always make my day, or the little girls in their furry coats, or the three-sisters-same-outfit combo; I don't know but leaving it is a feeling of sudden grief.
But what I will miss the most is the children's fast heartbeat that I love to feel on my left palm while I hold them. Every beat tells me that after all they are small human beings able to feel hurt, but helpless as their tiny frames. I have always love this feeling of what makes us human like a good pat on my shoulder,or back in Manila when raining, I love to feel the warmth of the person beside me in the jeep. But nothing is more beautiful than a beating heart. Behind those cries, is a heart that screams, behind those tears is a heart that pleads; and I hope that my touch, simple as it may seem, has told it to hush.
I hope they grow up forgetting not they have one.

Milan Fashion Week Fall Winter 2011-2012 part 1
Milan is a place for drama and a no-place for simplicity. From established labels like Prada and Gucci, and new talents like Aquilano and Rimondi, clothes are done with pure Italian class with a whip of technology.
Marni
A dress, a fur coat, and a leather jacket over. What? My skin has not felt how cold winter is but this look made my brows meet-in a good way. This collection is much refined than her previous ones.Consuelo really did an amazing job here. The craziness was gone and the incorporation of fur in the looks made it so luxurious. The cut, though away from the body still looked very sexy.
Prada
What is with me and circles this time that I'm so loving it.It all started from Christopher Kane and now Miuccia.I interpret this collection like the woman and the animal in her, which is a snake. It's so weird starting a show with a coat that looked almost she's ready to fly an airplane and ends in a scales dress. But it's Prada and it has always been that.Surprise.Like last season's scrub suits to bananas.Connect the dots is not her game.
Gucci
This is Frida's most luxurious collection for Gucci yet.The colors are very rich and the fur-well let's leave it to PETA. There is a touch of Elsa Schiaparelli here and a bit John Galliano-ish.I didn't like the chiffon gowns or maybe it's the underwear, although the flower boleros matched with it are gorgeous.
Jil Sander
Boring.Or I can't just get enough of his last season's collection.I love Raf but what he send in the runways today was a bit safe for my liking. For spring he pushed the limits of the t-shirt and made it "couturish".Today I can see remnants of that collection from the shapes of the clothes, but i wasn't thrilled at all.
Bottega Veneta
From the first look alone you can tell something has changed in this collection by Tomas Maier. The hairdo ,the coat, the stocking- a departure from understated luxury? I love this collection but somehow I hate it.the looks are from this, to this to this, to this.I did not get the story here.

The DHL Package part 2: Eastpak x Christopher Shannon
I have always been a fan of Eastpak collaborations. From Raf Simons, to Rick Owens, to Gaspard Yurkievich, to Eleykishimoto and now the yet unknown British designer Christopher Shannon.Ever since this idea was out I was like "I want that ,I want that, I want that", and it's just now that, that wanting became a reality.
I'am in desperate need of a backpack.I told myself when I'll be going back home to Manila I should only be carrying one and that's it.I will never carry a designer leather bag again as it was hell carrying it ,that any moment it will get scratched. So the perfect solution would be a backpack, and you know me, I just don't want it generic and Eastpak has the answer.
The best are by Raf Simons and Rick Owens but were so pricey that I would rather miss it than buy it. Then Eleykishimoto came with their prints but the problem was the size.Too small. Gaspard Yurkievich's collaborations are so rare to find and I don't have any idea how much they cost. And now Christopher Shannon, everything is drop-dead in all the right ways. The moment I saw this at oki-ni.com, I can't sleep. I so want to order but the shipping costs was holding me back. The next day I received a mail from the store offering free shipping to all British designed products in celebration of London Fashion Week. In 10 minutes I ordered right away. That was Thursday and the package arrived today, Saturday.Very fast, huh.
What's perfect about this bag is the size. It's big that everything you need would fit. This is best for travelling.Plus you can wear it as backpack,or carry this as holdall, or sling it as messenger.Practical, isn't it? and the best part is it only costs 71 pounds(85 originally minus taxes if you're living outside the UK).This is the cheapest collaboration yet if my memory is right.Ok it's still expensive but granted the quality and the design of this product, it's all worth it.
and thank God, Abu Dhabi customs didn't charge me of any customs fees.weeeeeeee.
it has a padded laptop compartment
i tried putting on dirty clothes to bulk it up and this is the result. This bag can accommodate 48 liters.I don't know what that means but that's what it says.
the backstraps are hideable(is this a word)If you want to use this as holdall or messenger you can hide it in that opening with the zippers on the side.It opens down to the bottom.good idea right?
me wearing it
oki-ni.com offers free shipping to all British designed products until March 2 only. So shop now. Eastpak x CS has 3 designs. The other two are backpack and a messenger. You can check out the website. They accept major credit and debit cards.

ABU DHABI part 2 YAS ISLAND, FERRARI WORLD,YAS HOTEL AND MARINA CIRCUIT
When I first started this blog, I planned it to be focused on fashion;but ,I think it would be boring so I tried to mix as much content as possible for what, my ten readers out there.LOL. As promised, I went to Yas Island yesterday alone to cover this beautiful development here in Abu Dhabi. This place is WIDE and if my shoes could talk,it would have plead to stop. Oh, the things that I do for this blog.
it all starts with the outfit: Xavier Delcour white shirt, Miharayasuhiro vest, Zara pants, McQ Alexander McQueen bag, Martin Margiela bracelet and L'incognito eyewear(this time in gold), Alessandro dell'Acqua hitops.
There are 3 major attractions here. All my pictures were taken outside, you know when you don't have money to get in?:D
1.The Yas Marina Circuit(this is where F1 goes)
2. The Yas Hotel
3. Ferrari World- Ferrari's theme park
After church, I took the 290 bus(They now changed it to BUS 190, and now rerouted to pass by Saadiyat Island. A good way to wait for this bus is near Khalifa Street. That park opposite National Bank of Abu Dhabi with two giant kettles on its gate. There is a bus stop there where all buses that go to Saadiyat expressway pick up passengers.) to Yas Island.Travel time was almost 1 1/2 hours which I could cut it in half if I were to take a taxi but, no, I'am not paying 100 AED vs the 2 AED bus. The bus' last stop was The Ferrari World so I started my journey there. This place is huge, like, HUGE and as much as I want to circle the whole thing, I can only cover 1/3 of it. The best attraction of this park is the Formula Rossa, the fastest roller coaster in the world.I haven't tried this yet as this was close during the soft opening last September. The track is simple, no loops. Created maybe so that the experience is more of the F1 speed feeling. The car shoots, literally before your eyes and just by watching, it brought smile to my face.On the other side is a much smaller coaster which I din't take pictures anymore.I should have tracked that way instead.
the Formula Rossa track
want to see how this one works?Open the video.
i love the aerodynamic design of its "claws"
There goes the logo
The Yas Arena where all major concerts are held
The streetlights here are really cute. It looked like 2 eyes watching over you-in horror.LOL
This is Yas Plaza. All these buildings are hotels.
this shed is so cute
very spacious roads.
This is called Al Bandar. It's not part of Yas but since it's visible out there might as well include it.It's so beautiful. It looks like ships of the future, and why not? It's facing the beach.Like it is docked there forever.I'd like to buy one of the apartments here, if 10 million dirhams falls on my feet.
The Aldar HQ.really cute.
I love love love the "juxtapositioning" of the sun and this building.cool.
The Yas Hotel. They say it looks like the the one in Singapore but up close,no. The Esplanade has spikes resembling durian but this is just glass enveloping the whole hotel which makes it out-there looking and the curves are so emotional when looked at. It's very beautiful especially at night when it changes color from blue to magenta.
You know how much I love my blog? I waited for an hour to get dark so that I can share a picture of this hotel at night but sadly my camera sucks so forgive me. If only those SLR's cost the same thing as this Samsung.
I hope you liked it or you better be.LOL
