Dries Van Noten
If going outdoors would be this good, count me in.:)
Rick Owens
Risky and brave move, though I think would stay on the runway, still Rick did an amazing job this season . and those glasses..............
Raf Simons
I don't know if you agree with me but this collection seems fit for the Jil Sander label and the Jil Sander collection he sent two weeks back is fit for his own brand. But, mislabelling aside, this collection really speaks what a master Raf Simons is when it comes to cut and tailoring.
Yves Saint Laurent
Very good color palette, clean, wearable, not too dressy, classics redefined and given edge that only a careful eye would notice as in the case of the second picture' button. I'm really into Stefano Pilati's work.:)
Junya Watanabe
Yes, Junya Watanabe. What made this collection a stand out was the utilitarianism of it. And this was the only collection with looks that proved even a carpenter or a gardener's outfit could be something fashionable to wear. It wasn't a collection that would please but leaves you thinking " Yeah, it could work."
Calvin Klein
Now I'm not into sports, but the contradicting ideas of minimalism and maximalism Italo Zucchelli put in this outing was one of the strongest points among other shows.
Hermes
Relaxed, easy, yet so luxurious.
Louis Vuitton
If travelling were this good, I don't want to stop, but first lets's rob a bank, lol.
Lanvin
The elements of darkness and lightness were so well balanced. Started with very stiff pieces but loosened up 'til the end.
Dior Homme
I like how the clothes looked so undetailed here but for sure up close would be the tricks.

Billionaires Afloat, Children on a Float
The other day while browsing the web a funny juxtaposition of 2 stories at Yahoo Maktoob about my country, the Philippines, so out there that it is worth blogging about. Which picture should we believe what is real and happening ?
Story and Picture 1
Three Billionaires
Story and Picture 1
Three Billionaires
According to Forbes, the billionaires now in the Philippines jumped to 11 with Henry Sy, the SM Malls tycoon, leading them all at 7 billion dollars.
Story and Picture 2
Three Children
This picture was taken during the typhoon that hit the country this week. Three children, obviously from the slums of Manila managed to stay dry on their improvised raft.
So which is real and which is surreal?
The Philippines' stock market must have soared high for the past years giving the country more New Money but on the other side of the coin, poverty is its face. Should we rejoice about our country's latest gains or should we reflect on what lies underneath? I don't know but I pray one day hope will at last, float.

Paris Men's Fashion Week Spring 2012: Louis Vuitton, Dries van Noten, Yves Saint Laurent, Rick Owens, Balmain, Givenchy
So far, Paris refined the fire of fashion once again, redeeming disastrous Milan.
Louis Vuitton
I'm not really into this label but the new direction by Kim Jones had me on board. I thought there was something for everybody here(well, that if you have money, lol). I especially like the looks with choking blanket scarves. And who knew the Philippine flag could be so fashionable?
and this bag.....exchanging my left cornea for this, anyone interested?lol
Rick Owens
Dresses for men? I thought this is a very strong collection by Rick Owens. The comibination of jacket and long skirts has had me thinking " Could this be the new suit?" Impossible, but still a very brave move.
Balmain
If there is one label out there oozing with the word "Cool", then Balmain would certainly fits the bill. The departure of Decarnin wasn't even visible in this spring collection by its new creative Olivier Rousteing, only lighter. The jacket-shirt-cool-jeans-scarf-high-boot combo done in pastel but what's missing is the to-die-for phrase attached to the jackets which the house is so known for.
Yves Saint Laurent
This is one of those collections that bores me in a good way(is that possible?,lol). This is a fantastic collection by Stefano. Jackets are amazingly cut and the khaki pieces are so good. There is so much subtleness and simplicity to the clothes, but somehow managed to stay interesting and looking fresh.
what is this Jil Sander look doing here?lol. Did Stefano and Raf talk?
Dries van Noten
What can I say about this collection but, MY FAVORITE.
Givenchy
After the dark clowns, leopard and dogs and the whole Catholicism Riccardo has presented these years for Givenchy, he has finally found the light through flowers. The print exist from shirts, shorts, suits, pants, and even the leggings that he has pioneered since. I love this collection(although the looks are a bit redundant) but don't we all like Givenchy in its darker side? And after sending a few looks for women, does that mean Riccardo is still in Givenchy and not in Dior's fences now?
